Suzuki Ertiga has certainly improved a lot in recent years. Read on the Suzuki Ertiga 2019 Philippines review to uncover its specs, features, prices & more!
The Suzuki brand is quite conservative when it comes to keeping the MPV design unchanged without pursuing the luxury SUV style in Suzuki Ertiga 2019. Therefore, Ertiga's design retains sharp lines but improves both the attractiveness and convenience of the car.
The next generation of Ertiga keeps its chrome grille and halogen headlights, which are suitable for the not too luxurious design and reasonable price of the car. However, Suzuki made a huge change by adding a floating C-pillar and night-vision LED Volvo-ish tail lights at the rear.
Compared to competitors in the same segment, the cabin space of the Suzuki MPV is on average. Thanks to the mobility of the second and third rows and the flexibility of the seat position, customers can easily change their sitting positions while being in the cabin.
Cargo capacity reaches a maximum of 830 liters if you fold the third row and 153 liters if all seats are upright. With the flexibility of the third row of seats and the large storage space, a family can pack their luggage for an entire trip through the entrance from the trunk.
In terms of comfort during the cruise, passengers can completely relax because the NVH insulation eliminates engine sound. The 2019 Ertiga removed the driver's center console box, but added cup holders, bottle holders, and storage compartments to the rear seats. The manufacturer also added power handles to all doors except the driver's side.
The beige interior with wood and plastic imitation details provides a striking looking space for the Suzuki Ertiga 2019. However, for families with children, the less dirty black interior will be more reasonable. The controls and door-side elbow cushions for the rear seats provide passenger comfort. However, the pretty high driving position and the lack of telescopic adjustment does not bring much convenience to the driver.
Ertiga's technology features are not too modern but pretty superior to the competition. The air conditioning system comes with a classic hand-controlled pollen filter. Besides, the rearview mirror and windows are electrically adjustable without brightness adjustment. Also, Suzuki provides the MPV with a keyless start, speed sensor door lock, and two 12V sockets. Surprisingly, at the center console, the cup holder keeps drinks cold with A/C vents.
In return, the manufacturer invests in Ertiga's infotainment system. The floating screen size is 10 inches for the top GLX variant, 8 inches for the GL variant, and the GA variant is equipped with a 1DIN adjustment. The quality of the screen is quite sharp and clear, with large icons for people with low vision.
Although Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not in the car entertainment system, users can still connect the phone via USB or Bluetooth. The sound system is okay with four speakers and offline navigation.
Safety features come standard with dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat braces, ABS with EBD, and side-impact door beams. While the base variant has only security warnings, the manufacturer retrofits the premium variant GLX with a rear parking camera with sensors and instructions.
Note, however, with only two-point straps, in the middle of the second row is the most dangerous of all the positions in Suzuki Ertiga.

The manufacturer has brought major improvements to this generation of Ertiga, especially with the engine. To match the weight of a five-person MPV and cargo, the Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-liter K15B engine that produces 103 hp with 138 Nm of torque. The 4-speed gearbox converts smoothly and is suitable for a variety of speeds, although the gear shift is a bit rough. With the Ertiga model, Suzuki does not launch any variants using a manual transmission. However, that is not a problem when the automatic transmission is fairly stable at 2,300 rpm at 100 km/h.
Ertiga's handling prowess is famous for its weighty on-highway feel and lighter, more maneuverable steering in the city. Although the vehicle's wide field of view is extremely wide, the right rearview mirror is slightly short causing a blind spot behind on the right.
Fuel consumption of the Ertiga is quite impressive despite the 4-speed automatic transmission.
With the capacity of two people in the car, the consumption of the car is 9.4 km/L when on peak hour.
